Burgundy Patent Hobo Bag
Patent Hobo — Burgundy
Coach$200
Coach Madison Maggie in deep wine patent. Mid-2000s, hangtag still attached, never carried.
We pulled this one out of a quiet vintage dealer's rack on Tokyo's Daikanyama back-streets — the kind of address where the door doesn't open unless someone vouches for you. Mid-2000s Coach Madison Maggie, the slouchy patent hobo that defined that exact moment when patent was the only finish that mattered.
Deep wine — somewhere between burgundy and aubergine depending on the light. The patent has the slow gleam that only comes from leather that was beautifully made, never carried, and stored away from sun. Original orange Coach hangtag is still attached. No scratches, no stickiness on the body, no bleed onto the lining. Mint.
There's a reason mid-2000s Coach is having a moment again. It was the last era when the house was making serious leather goods at a serious scale, before the brand pivoted toward saturation. This is from inside that window — and unworn, on top of that. One owner. One shot.
