Pink Op-Art Satchel Bag

We found this in a small private resale showroom off a side street in Rome's Trastevere — one of those places that only opens by appointment and only for people who already know what they want. Coach Madison Sophia in the dotted op-art jacquard, trimmed in the dusty rose leather that this generation has decided is suddenly the only acceptable pink.

The base is a soft champagne, the trim is a rose-pink that's gone slightly powdery with age — in the best way. There's a small pull near the zipper and faint handling on the body, all visible in the photos and none of it the kind of thing you notice once it's on. Nameplate hardware silvered. Hangtag intact.
