We tracked this one down through a dealer on Florence's Via dei Pittori — a lane of antique shops and tea rooms where vintage bags surface in twos and threes and never sit long. Coach Jackie hobo, the under-arm crescent silhouette with the heavy silver dog-clip pull at the front.

Patchworked across the body: cream leather panels, khaki signature canvas, and a true snakeskin centre stripe with a panel of mahogany patent next to it.
