Brown Chain Hobo Bag

Found through a vintage dealer in Tokyo's Nakameguro — buried at the back of a rail of Coach he was holding for someone who didn't show. Deep chocolate brown pebbled leather, single shoulder, with the leather-laced gunmetal chain strap that turns the whole thing from a hobo into something a little harder.

The leather is rich, slightly grainy, and unmarked across the body. Chain links are intact, the leather lacing through them is original and supple. Hardware is gunmetal, unscratched. Hangtag attached. Inside lining is clean and dry.

Coach made these chain hobos in this exact chocolate for one season and the colour is genuinely difficult to find now — most surfaced in black or in cognac. This particular brown reads almost like Bottega 'truffle' in the right light. A real one.
